Local Missions

The Outreach Ministry of First Christian Church of Terrell is a very active, very busy committee made up of a dozen or so members of the church serving on an annual basis. The committee is chaired by one of the members who serves on the church cabinet. The committee is responsible for choosing the projects for the year, for putting those projects on the church calendar and for submitting a budget request to the church’s administration for funding.

Some projects will be funded by the church and the funds administered by Outreach annually. Some others will be funded year to year and new ones added as funding permits. Funding for some of the projects will be added to the church budget but in addition some of them will be funded by Special Offerings.

It is up to the Outreach Committee to “sell” the projects it chooses each year to administration and to the congregation so this committee is constantly busy planning projects then working on the project then reporting on the project. Being on this committee is very gratifying.
