Each year our church sends close to 100 of these shoeboxes to Samaritan’s Purse. Packing the shoeboxes involves every member of the congregation, some in promotion and distribution of information and instructions, some in shopping for items and packing boxes, some in paying for the shipping of all the boxes. Some Sunday Classes get involved as a group. Some people pack several boxes. This project is one of our annual ones and takes a lot of preparation, planning and promotion. Our members especially enjoy seeing the videos each year showing the boxes being delivered and watching the reaction of the children as they open boxes. We like the project because it involves not just the hands but the heart as well
